an ode to football

as I walk across the field

what do i see?

a hoard of small boys

aiming a ball at me

i change my path

to get out of their aim

simply to find myself in  ………………………. another game

football, football everywhere

is there nowhere to hide?

boys play it all over the grounds

some even play inside!

so if you wander BGS

be wary of where you tread

and please listen to me

mind out and

"watch yer head!"
