Caught on the 22^nd July 2003 triple sweetcorn size 14 hook 3lb line, took all day to land. “ It was exhausting – I knew I had something unusual the way it pulled me in the water – if I had not had the timely assistance of Clive “ hang on Mr.Geekie while I think of something” I would still be being dragged around the lake. Clive used all his weight to haul me to safety. Mr. Gibson and Mr. Branton assisted and the fish was seen for the first time. After a picture was taken the fish – estimated to be 268 lbs was released back to the water. “ Somehow I do not think it will be caught again” said Mr. Geekie. Everyone there agreed.
